Our Staff:

Henry Shelton, Director

Henry_head_shot

Henry founded the George Wiley Center in 1981. With 40 years of activist, “hell-raising” experience behind him, we urge you to join him and the Rhode Island Campaign to Eliminate Childhood Poverty in the long haul fight for social and economic justice NOW. Henry was key to the founding of the Fund for Community Progress, and a host of affiliated, spin-off organizations.

Debbie Clark, Office Administrator

Debbie_head_shot
Debbie joined the staff of the Wiley Center in March of 2010, and has been an invaluable asset ever since.  With a background in finance  and office administration, and an inherent respect for others, she brings skill as well as compassion to her position.

Sakinah Abdur-Rasheed, Organizer

Sakinah

Sakinah joined the Wiley team in September, 2011 and hit the ground running to assure members are educated and empowered with regard to the Henry Shelton Act and other utility and food security issues.  She comes to us after many years of local organizing and advocacy work.  We welcome her aboard.
