Empowering Low-Income Women
to Become Advocates for Social Justice
Press Release: March 19, 2008
The George Wiley Center is enrolling new participants in a hands-on, small group training program designed to walk women through the steps on how to speak up and defend their rights when facing problems that go along with poverty, such as utility shut-offs, food stamp certification, FIP benefits, etc. We are able to provide lunch and help with travel and child care through a grant from the Women’s Fund of Rhode Island. We hope that these benefits will give you every opportunity to attend each training.
